HR Career Development provides the training necessary to qualify for entry level employment as trailer driver. They give 50 hours of instruction and study per week for a total of 200 hours.
The course is divided in 3 parts: Classroom, Skill Area Training and Over The Road Instruction.
Classroom is a section where the student will be taught about the history of trucking, the future of trucking, engines, brakes and vehicle study, federal and estate regulations, Driver's Daily Log, maps and how to secure loads; students will be measure by differents tests and examinations.
Skill Area Training is where students will be able to drive a tractor trailer unit safely. They will be able to park it. Students will practice about backing, how to approach a corner and how not to touch a stationary object in a corner. They will also be taught on how to shift a transmission in a real unit.
Over The Road Instruction helps students get road experience on nation's highways, urban and city roads. Students will handle differents types of traffic situations with several types of vehicles. There will be a test on the before trip preparation, coupling and uncoupling and safety. Students must uphold a Driver's Daily Log.
HR Career Development training has more requirements than a normal school giving advantages to their students. Most of their students are "Pre-Hire" before they began the course. HR searches for the right job that each student needs.
