The International Institute of Transportation Resource (IITR) was established in 1987 in Oregon. Since that year they have been giving training to all the people that want to enter the trucking industry which is growing very fast in the United States in the last couple of years. IITR is accredited and licensed in Oregon and Washington. Their class groups are small ensuring students the highest quality courses.
The programs they offer are: a Class A Tractor-Trailer Program which consists of 160-200 hours depending of the skills of each student; the course is open days, nights and weekends satisfying the needs of their students; the program has two divisions: classroom and practice on the road; the institute provides students all the knowledge and experience required to pass the Class A CDL written and road test.
Class B Straight Truck Program is offered to people who are interested in getting in the truck industry but do not want to drive a tractor trailer. IITR provides the required information and training to pass the Class B CDL written and road exam. Class B Bus Program is available for people that want to become a bus driver.
The requirements you need to get into IITR are: pass the DOT physical and SIMSHA drug screen, pass the General Knowledge exam at the DMV, obtain the CDL permit, pass the Air Brakes endorsement exam at the DMV and have at least 21 years of age, among others.
