Area Truck Driving School began in 1994 and since then, it has taught thousand of students. It gives training, education and job placement assistance for its students.
ATDS designed different programs to train students on how to use many types of tractors and trailers.
ATDS is certified by the California's Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education. It gives a complete knowledge about the Federal and Commercial regulations.
ATDS divided its program in 2:
- Tractor-Trailer Program:
- Full preparation for License Class A and for entry level employment.
- Gives knowledge to drive all types of commercial vehicles.
- 4 week program.
- Hands on instruction.
- Gives preparation of defensive driving and emergency theories.
- Federal Motor Carrier Program:
- Full preparation for License Class C and for entry level employment.
- Gives knowledge to drive all types of commercial vehicles.
- 6 week program.
- Hands on instruction.
- Gives preparation of defensive driving and emergency theories.
ATDS gives lifetime job assistance to its students. It works closely with students to develop skills for jobs opportunity. Students are taught how to fill out employment applications. It also teaches them to develop a professional attitude and excellent work habits.
Area Truck Driving School has several local and interstate trucking companies that are interested in employees for entry level truck drivers. When students graduate from the program, they will be introduced to different recruiting firms.
