Isothermal Community College has a unique one on one instruction that allows you to drive, on roads, highways and mountains with the full attention of your instructor.
Isothermal is located in the Southwestern part of North Carolina in Spindale, NC. This location enjoys easy access to Charlotte, Asheville, and North Carolina.
Isothermal Community College is also affiliated to trucking companies that ensure jobs to the students. So they will help you to find a job when you have completed the course. Isothermal has a high quality program and is certified with PTDI (Trucking Industry Standard).
One third of Isothermal students don not live in NC. They look for affordable housing in the surrounding areas and some even come from Alaska. The cost of living does not usually increase.
Because the program is one on one, you can avoid embarrassing moments and enjoy the instructor's entire attention. Students can bring their vehicles (must be the same as the license require) or Isothermal will give you one for the test.
Isothermal could test the students for Class A or B and for P. The CDL skill test is about of: pre-trip inspection test, basic control skills test and a road test. To test students that bring their own vehicle, they must bring: CDL permit Class A or B, Social security card and DOT medical card.
The qualifications are: applicant must be 21 years old to drive interstate, high School Graduate or GED, valid driver's license, currently free of serious motor vehicle or criminal offenses and be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.
