Today the trucking industry is growing very fast in the US. The Department of Labor estimates that there will be a shortage of 450,000 new truck drivers this year. Alabama Drivers Academy (ADA) has a training program that runs for 160 hours starting every Monday. ADA is associated with forty prestigious companies to ensure job opportunities for students when they graduate. Some of these companies have a pre-hire policy and offer tuition assistance to new drivers entering the industry.
Alabama Drivers Academy operates two facilities. One of them is located in Mobile, Alabama and the other in Eastaboga (near the Talladega Intl. Speedway) in central Alabama. ADA also opened a new location in Lake City, Florida.
You need to be at least 21 by the time of graduation, (DOT requires that all the interstate drivers be at least 21 years old), your driver license must be valid, you must have no more than three moving violations in the past three years, no felony convictions in the past five years among other requirements.
